As a preface, I am an atheist and am not religious. That has not stopped me from worshipping and seeking the advice of the 19 Deities. What are the 19 Deities? They are a pantheon of gods who transcend the religions that you might be accustomed with.
What are the 19 Deities? Link to heading
Unsurprisingly, there are 19 deities. Unlike other religions, anyone—be they dead, alive, male, female, human, non-human, fictional, non-fictional, and more—can be a deity in this pantheon. If you try hard enough, you might even become one of the 19 deities!
Structure Link to heading
Every year, at least after nine of months of service but at the pleasure of the 19 Deities, the 19 Deities are refreshed. Deities have the option to serve another term.
Decision-making is collective. Each Deity has one vote. The Deities are all equal to each other with no single Deity ranking higher than their peers.
There is pantheon solidarity: while a Deity might disagree with the decision of the 19 Deities, they cannot voice this disagreement until they cease to be a Deity. If a Deity breaches this solidarity, they must abdicate from being a Deity.
There is no official chair of the 19 Deities. Each of the 19 Deities get a turn as the spokesperson and contact Deity. In practice, this is usually given to the junior and newer Deities. No-one wants contact Deity duties.
The 19 Deities have decreed that none of this is sacrilege.

A Deity may occupy a domain. This is at the discretion of the Deity and subject to the agreement of the 19 Deities. Two Deities may occupy the same domain, but this has been quite rare.
